Gastanker Virtual Tour
The sophisticated transport of gases at sea is effected by special tonnage. One of this type of ships is the LPG-tanker (LPG = liquefied petroleum gas = butane / propane). In order to transport gases at sea most economically the volume of gas in vapour phase has to be reduced significantly by means of pressure, cooling or by combination of both. Consequently the transport is effected as liquefied gas.
The loading capacity of a gastanker is given in cbm. Here, with this virtual gastanker we have an ethylene/LPG-tanker with 3 cargo tanks and a capacity of ttl. 8.600 cbm.
